Charity Benevolent Fund thanks all of our sponsors, individuals, and our 5k Runners in Atlanta, GA at Piedmont Park for our Back to School Supply Drive and 5K Run/Walk on August 10. Because of your support CBF was able to help many students in the Atlanta Public School system. Charity Benevolent Fund 5K Run/Walk
Awards will be given to the top Female and Male overall finishers and top 2 finishers in each classification(F&M) and top masters finishers (40+, 50+, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79) and groups 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, and 35-39. For 5K Only, One Mile Fun Run Top Male & Female. Awards include free oil changes, Gift Certificates for a make-over party for 4 + Merle Norman Products, free meals from local merchants, puzzles, and trophies. Facts on Poverty In Georgia:
Georgia Poverty rate was the 3rd highest in the country in 2010. 18% of the 1.8 million or 1 out of every 5 now lives in poverty in Georgia. One in four Georgia children lives in poverty because of higher birth rates among Blacks and Hispanics combined with low education attainment, discrimination, and the recession affects children grades and test scores, and reduce their earning adults. Join our fight to end poverty on October 12 or January 4.
Charity Benevolent Fund 2nd Annual Go For Red Health Fair & 5K Run/Walk will be held at the Ocmulgee National Monument in Macon, GA on February 1 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. There will be free health screenings for the disadvantage, the general public and the race participants.
Feburary 15 Charity Benevolent Fund 2nd Annual Go For Red Health Fair & 5K Run/Walk to raise awareness of diabetes, heart disease, and stroke for Metro Atlanta will be held at Freedom Park North Ave & Freedom Pkwy Atlanta, GA 30307. The course will be inside the park.
